There's nothing like a steamy bath and a good read in bed to lull one off to dreamland! I awoke completely refreshed and re-energized for the dizzyingly busy days ahead.
I highly recommend JOHANNES CABAL THE NECROMANCER by JONATHAN L. HOWARD. I couldn't put it down; it's a delightfully wicked story of a dark carnival engaging in a plot to cheat the devil. It's reminiscent of the old-fashioned gothic tales I'm so very fond of. Necromancy, vampires, a dark carnival travelling through the countryside collecting souls - what more can a girl ask for??

And the Countdown Begins!

Exactly two weeks from today I will be on my merry way to SALEM, MA with all my li'l beasties in tow! I finished up the last of the packing today (I would have been done a lot sooner if I didn't constantly get sidetracked snapping & popping all the bubble wrap!) Although I should be getting some much needed rest after a year of working super crazy, I'm buzzing with anticipation & excitement over the intrigue of what is in store for me on my magical mystery tour!

The Crunch Is On!!

I'm finally back home to stay now (well, 'til next summer anyway). I thoroughly enjoyed being a roaming gypsy for the past couple months, as I have an incurable case of wanderlust, but now it's time to get down to some serious business! Countless spooky faces and unfinished works have been screaming out to me from my studio. Gotta get things finished up in the next couple weeks before all the little ghoulies and beasties uprise into a coup d'etat!! (perhaps a bit of magic would be called for about now) Then it's time to start packing and make final arrangements for my exodus to SALEM!
